Total: 1 gallon of mother’s milk
The Story of A Medical Marijuana Professional or How I Kept My Job by Using Medical Marijuana.
The Soy milk product I made was an invention of necessity. Now known as “Mother’s Milk” I initially used the mixture in order to control my seizures and pain. I needed to ingest marijuana in a way that was inconspicuous and affordable. When I started this it was difficult to buy medical marijuana edibles, since a lot of growers just used their leaf as fertilizer they would sell it cheap. What more inconspicuous way to use this medicine than by just adding some milk to your coffee.

At WAMM we often use this and other ingestible products to serve children with severe disorders and most often only when other remedies do not work. It is difficult for many doctors to feel comfortable in writing such recommendations; even though they are the only group protected by the Supreme Court (Conant v. McCaffrey). The name for this Remedy came about when the mother of a teenager suffering from untreatable grand mal seizures insisted that it be considered as part of his medical regimen. The Stanford neurological team jokingly referred to her “medicine” as Mother’s Milk. However, they could not deny the effectiveness of this treatment, since no other medicine effectively reduced his seizures.

Ingredients:
- 1 box Soy Milk (Vita Soy is good) high fat, any flavor
- An equal amount of water
- Dried Medical Marijuana leaves- enough to fill a crock pot 1/2 to 2/3 full
- Instant hot chocolate
- Instant coffee
Directions:
- Put the dried leaves in the crock-pot and pour the soy milk and an equal amount of water over them.
- Set the crock pot on low and cook for 18-25 hours. Stir occasionally.
- Let cool, then drain milk into a refrigerator container through a sieve.
- Squeeze as much out of the leaves as you can. (You can recover more THC from the leaves by boiling them in a little water, then refrigerating the mess and skimming the ‘butter’ off the top).
- Dilute with more soy milk if the flavor is too strong, and add the chocolate, coffee, vanilla, sugar and/or cinnamon to taste. (it takes a bit of doctoring!)
Note:
Start with 2-4 oz and adjust as needed. Strength depends on the quality and amount of Medical Marijuana leaf used. It will usually last many more hours than the Medical Marijuana would if smoked and is great for nausea, sleep, or pain.

Vijai is a milk substitute based medical marijuana tea for medical use. This recipe was provided to WAMM as a gift for all to use.
Ingredients:
- Medical Marijuana: 8 grams clean, good quality commercial bud. That’s about 6 flat tablespoons ground in a coffee grinder.
- Almonds: 35 whole blanched (40 grams)
- Peppercorns, 15 whole black (4/10th gram)
- Cardamom Seeds, 1 teaspoon (2 1/2 grams)
- Anise Seeds, 1 teaspoon (1 1/2 grams)
- Saffron, 30 pistols (1/10th gram) California saffron is the 1/3rd the price and fresher
- Vanilla Rice Dream, 1 quart. May substitute milk, vanilla vita soy, pacific vanilla soy milk or Almond flavored Amazake
- 1 Quart Water
- 1/2 teaspoon rosewater. Carlo brand imported from India is the best tasting
- 1/3 cup sugar-increase to 1/2 cup if using milk or leaf instead of bud
Utensils:
- 3 wide mouth qt. Jars
- electric coffee bean grinder
- large regular strainer
- 3” fine strainer
- super fine gold wire permanent coffee filter
- Molita 36 filter cone to hold wire filter
- 2 soup pans or one pan and one big bowl
- measuring cup and spoons
- dinner plate for the strained sediment
- cooking timer
- medium stiff rubber scrapper
- gallon glass jar or coffee pot upon which to put the Molita cone
- pancake turner used to keep the mixture off the sides of the pan while stirring
Directions:
- Blend all the ingredients together into a crock-pot and simmer on the lowest heat for a few hours, being careful not to scald the milk. The longer you let the ingredients dilute, the more potent it will be.
- The tribal members who used this recipe centuries prepared vijai by blending the ingredients and using sun-tea brewing methods to allow for a complete dilution.
Recipe Notes:
The original Vijai recipe from India and is more than 10,00 years old. Unlike many indigestible examples of marijuana cookery, this recipe can be given with confidence to patients who might not be able to hold down other foods. This recipe makes a velvety, creamy drink that tastes like an exotic liquid cake, is slightly psychedelic in doses above 6 ounces, and lasts about 8 hours in standard doses. It’s indicated uses are: appetite loss, pain, muscle spasms, glaucoma, insomnia, and depression.

Ingredients:
- A glass jar-1 quart mason jar is ideal but any size will do as long as it has a tight fitting lid
- 3 parts ground dried Medical Marijuana leaf, shake, or bud
- 4 parts alcohol- Everclear
We use Everclear because of purity but you can also use 151, vodka or any other alcohol that appeals to your taste
Directions:
- Fill jar 3/4 fill of ground Medical Marijuana.
- Fill rest of the jar with alcohol, leaving enough room at the top to stir and shake.
- Stir contents, the Medical Marijuana herb will absorb the alcohol so add some more leaving about 1/2 inch at the top.
- Put the lid on tightly and label the contents and the date you started on.
- Shake jar 1 to 2 times a day for 2 weeks, storing in a warm dark place.
- After a minimum of 2 weeks of brewing, strain off through a fine metal tea strainer or silk screen. The Medical Marijuana herb will consolidate at the bottom of the jar and the tincture will rise to the top, strain off as much as you need at a time pouring it through a fine metal tea strainer.
- Use a funnel to pour it into class tincture bottle with a glass dropper. Alcohol is a strong preservative and it will keep for a long time.
- Use Ultra Palmolive Antibacterial dish soap for cleanup, it seems to work the best at dissolving the THC residue.
- Use only glass, Pyrex, ceramic or metal utensils, it will stain plastic permanently.
Recipe Notes:
Dosage will vary per individual, start with a dropper full dissolved into hot tea or other warm liquid. The heat helps to activate the THC and burns off some of the alcohol as well as diluting the taste of the tincture. If you are very sensitive to alcohol you can simmer it for 5 to 10 minutes over low heat. It can be taken straight but can burn the mouth and has a very herbal flavor. Enjoy and be well.
